The Knox

If you're looking for a welcoming pub with character, The Knox Harrogate is well worth a visit. Set in the historic area of Bilton, on the outskirts of town, this former dairy farm turned pub offers a relaxed, rural setting just minutes from central Harrogate. Reopened as a pub in 1985, its traditional farm buildings now house a friendly, family-run spot full of charm and community spirit.

The kitchen serves a seasonal menu made with locally sourced ingredients, complemented by a wide selection of drinks including quality beers, real ales, carefully selected wines from around the world, soft drinks, and hot beverages.

Dog-friendly with treats and water bowls on hand, The Knox also welcomes children and boasts a large, enclosed beer garden—perfect for family outings. Sports fans will love the projectors and screens in both bars, making it a great place to catch big matches.

With its proximity to local walking and cycling routes that connect to Knaresborough, Ripley, the Nidd Gorge, and the Yorkshire Dales, The Knox makes an ideal stop-off for a well-earned drink or hearty meal after a day out exploring.
